Yes, completely. Your question and John’s answer are never published anywhere. They are not added to the Q&A Library. No one else sees them. It’s just between you and John.
Payment is handled by Stripe — one of the most trusted payment processors in the world. Your card information is never seen or stored by John or this website. It goes directly to Stripe’s secure servers.
After your payment goes through, Stripe will redirect you to a short form where you type your question. Once John receives it, he’ll reply privately to your email within 24–48 hours.
One follow-up is included with every private answer. Just reply to John’s email with your follow-up question and he’ll clarify. No extra charge.
John will let you know right away if your question falls outside what he can help with — for example, legal advice, medical diagnosis, or financial investment recommendations require a licensed professional. In that case, you won’t be charged. John will refund your $10 and point you in the right direction.
Each $10 covers one question plus one follow-up. If you have multiple unrelated questions, submit them separately. If your questions are closely related, include them all in one submission and John will do his best to address everything.
The free option is great for questions you don’t mind being published anonymously — and it helps your neighbors with the same confusion. The private option is for questions you’d rather keep to yourself: a specific letter you received, a personal financial situation, a sensitive medical bill, or anything you just don’t want shared publicly. Both options get you a real answer from John.
